About

2013 was a big year for me to say the least. My daughter was born and I left my career to become a stay at home mom. I was given the greatest blessing I will ever know, which naturally came with the some of the most important decisions I could ever make. While I viewed my job as that of my dreams, I knew the moments of my baby’s childhood would be ever fleeting. With my husband’s full support, I shared my decision with my employer and entered a whole new world. Becoming a mother saved my life, this I am sure. I battled undiagnosed depression/anxiety throughout my childhood and often had the inability to see the world and it’s beautiful, endless possibilities. So this small human changed my outlook on life and made me want to be a better person. She made me strive and succeed in areas I hadn’t before. While I did okay in high school and graduated with honors from college and went to achieve licensure in my field, something was missing. My daughter’s sweet existence made me want to take control of my health and wellness. I joined myfitnesspal January 2014 and began exercising regularly. Two years have passed with countless races under my belt, including two half marathons, and I am the healthiest, happiest and most confident I have ever been in my life. So, as I said, I am certain becoming a mother saved my life. And because of this, I thought I would start a blog.
